1.0 Extension Sub-Programme
l Dissemination of Proven agricultural technology through advisory visit to 6,080 farming household.
l Group farmers training for 76 farmers groups
l Demonstration and training on backyard farming to ensure food security at a certain level at the household.
l Monitoring and supervision of Extension Officers activities within their circles.
l Facilitate and linkage of prospective farmers to agricultural inputs across the zones
l Promote and fuel the interest of student in Agricultural production through the youth/ school programme (Target is 76 schools)
l Value addition to agricultural produce through the WIA demonstrations for 40 groups
l Radio/ television broadcast on current trends in agriculture through Agbeafokosoro/Agbelere
l Encourage climate smart farming among the farming household across the zones
l Provision of Extension working kits for the front line extension agents.
2.0 Technical Services Sub-Programme
2.1 Agro-Processing Component
v Fabrication of modern smoking kiln and sales at affordable price to Ogun State fish farmers.
v Intensification of Value Addition and demonstration on modern, hygienic fish smoking with view to curtail post-harvest losses and enhances better pricing of fish and fish products.
v Responsive and articulated fisheries extension delivery to nook and crannies of the state.
v Strategic linkages with reputable hatcheries with a view to serve our esteem fish farmers.
v Facilitation of cluster fish farmers with a view to enhance ease of technology transfer at a minimal cost per optimal benefits to fish farmers.
2.2 Crop Component
1. Training of Extension agents and other staff on rapid multiplication of seed-yam through mini-sett technique which is to be stepped down to farmers through extension agents.
2. Training of farmers on backyard/homestead farming continues.
3. Insects, Pests, and Diseases control will be dealt with as they are being reported.
4. Establishment of Ofar Trial on assessment of the performance of three (3) newly released Tomato varieties by NIHORT, HORTITOM 1, HORTITOM 2, HORTITOM 3.
5. Training of farmers and extension agents on good agronomic practices in Tomato production.
6. Linkage of farmers to reputable Input sources and relevant organization that will be of assistance to them.
7. Training of Ugu seedling production.
8. Establishment of Crop demonstration plots for year 2024 at the Headquarter.
9. Establishment and monitoring of collaborative on farm trial with NIHORT on corchorus.
