1.0 Programme Vision and Mission
The vision of the Programme is, “to become the centre of excellence and point of reference for Agricultural Extension delivery and rural transformation in Nigeria and Sub-Sahara Africa” while her mission is, “to increase Agricultural production, farmers’ productivity and incomes along the commodity value chain; through dissemination of improved and proven technologies using International best practices and innovations in an environmentally sustainable manner”.
2.0 Sub-Programme Achievements
The Programme is being implemented through some components and this section focused on the achievements recorded by each of these components. 
2.1 Technical Services Sub-Programme:
The achievements of the Livestock Sub-programme in the period under review are summarized below;
2.1.1 Seed multiplication Component
Ø 145 bundles of improved cassava cuttings and Ugu seedlings were sourced to assist farmers.
Ø Germination test for vegetable seed were carried out on a farmer farm at Obafemi-Owode LGA
Ø Assorted vegetables seed was also sourced to assist farmers
Ø Attended Flag off and distribution of inputs to smallholder maize farmers in Ogun State, organized by British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation and Ministry of Agriculture on Tuesday 30th April 2024 with 250 farmers in attendance.
2.1.2 Agroforestry component
v 2,033 Fruit tree seedlings were sourced and distributed to farmers
v 3 farmers received technical support services on Agroforestry matters/field visits
v 30kg of Mother’s Delight, king-J & Solo Gold OFSP Vines were distributed to farmers  for multiplication
v Attended annual OFAR workshop
2.1.3 Livestock Component	
v The component was represented by SMS Livestock, Mr. Gbadamosi visited TEGA farm on update about Lysteriosis outbreak and treatment of 40 affected animals.
v Deworming: 2,000 animals were treated against endo and ectoparasites with 1,500 males and 500 females
v Grasscutter Production: one farmer was assisted on grasscutter production
v Snail Production: three farmers were assisted on snail production
v Advisory services: farmers were advised on various livestock enterprises and their value chains.  Beneficiaries, 15 male, 10 female
v Disease Preventive measure: Awareness campaign continue all over the State reaching out to farmers to combat the spread of diseases with 1,500 farmers in attendance; 800 male and 700 female
2.1.4 Crops Component
· Many farmers and organizations were linked to input sources like Agro services and other reliable agro dealers and service providers.  
· Nursery Establishment: During the period under review the component (at headquarters, excluding zones) assisted four (4) farmers to establish tomato and pepper nurseries 
· Homestead Agriculture:  During the period under review, one (1) farmer was trained and assisted in planting in sacks. Plants planted in sacks were maize, Okro, tomato and pepper  
· Four Technical Support on arable crop production were given to farmers
2.1.5 FISHERIES
Ø 20 earthen pond and concrete tanks were constructed across the zones in the period under review
2.1 Planning, Monitoring And Evaluation Sub-Programme
The overview of the activities carried out are highlighted below;
1. 2023 Wet Season Agricultural Production Survey (APS): Collation of Questionnaires from the survey in on-going. Output from the Survey would be reported in subsequent report. 
2. Monthly Progress Review Meeting (MPRM): Monthly progress review meeting was conducted for the month under review.  
3. Market Price Survey (MPS): This is the fortnight coverage of rural and urban markets in the State, to collect price data of farm products and produce. The table below shows the Market Price of some major agricultural commodities.

2.2 Finance Sub-Programme
The total achievement in Salaries and Allowances, Overhead (Recurrent) and SHEP as at March 2024 were N42,339,347.70k, N1,703,328.45k and N543,360.00k respectively.
2.4 Administration Sub-Programme
i. Programme Management Unit (PMU) Meeting: Two (2) Programme Management Unit (PMU) meetings was held in the month of April, 2024.
ii. Nominal Roll: A total number of Two hundred and Thirty four (234) Staff as at April, 2024 
2.5 Research and Training Sub-programme
i. Participated in 35th Southwest Zonal Research Farmers’ Input Linkage System (REFILS) held between Monday 15th and Thursday 18th April, 2024 at Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo State. 
ii. Received one student for Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme with the programme from University of Ilorin, kwara State. 
2.6 Extension Sub-Programme
Ø Agronomic activities that took place during the month include; Land preparation and planting for the early season with heavy rains recorded. Maize farmers whose crops had been scotched with the dryness experienced in the prolonged dry season had also started replanting. 
Ø Advisory services: farmers were encouraged and advised on various enterprises and their value chains activities
